Fall Menu: Pizza with Berberè has arrived
Ready for the new fall menu? We’re not only bringing back one of the most popular pizzas from last year – our delicious roasted pumpkin and sautéed mixed mushroom pizza with taleggio, fiordilatte and parsley – but we’ve also got some new additions.
These include our free-range chicken sausage pizza with Piquillo peppers, smashed potatoes, parsley and berbere. For the first time, our menu includes the spice that bears our name: berbere! This spice mix comes from North Africa – especially Eritrea and Ethiopia. It includes cardamom, chili pepper, ginger, cloves, coriander, allspice, common rue, ajwain, and sometimes long pepper and fenugreek, spices that have digestive and anti-inflammatory properties. The spicy, rich taste adds a unique and original flavor to the pizza.
Of course we’ll also include “traditional” pizzas, like burrata, prosciutto cotto di Mora Romagnola Zivieri, cherry tomato confit, fiordilatte, oregano and basil, and many others. And there’s more than just pizza on the new fall menu. You’ll also find tempting cicchettini, or small plates, like crostini with whipped cod, red onion, and parsley; and dishes like burrata from Puglia, seasoned tomatoes, bread, basil, and oregano. Find all of our dishes on the menu page of our site!
It begins in Torino on September 12, followed by Milan Isola the 13th, Milan Vigevano the 14th, Verona the 15th, Florence the 17th, Rome the 18th, Bologna the 19th and Castel Maggiore (Bo) on September 20.
