On D.i.re’s side against gender-based violence

This November 25 on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women we’ll once again be actively supporting the activists from D.i.re – Women’s Network Against Violence.

Focusing on ongoing dialogue and training, the association is committed to promoting the necessary cultural change to fight and eliminate male violence against women. They do so through informative and awareness-raising initiatives, research projects and, most importantly, their tireless daily work at Anti-Violence Centres.

With 87 organizations, 106 anti-violence centres and 62 shelters, every year D.i.re welcomes and supports over 20,000 girls and women victims of male violence free of charge.

In Italy, almost 1 in 3 women has suffered at least one form of gender-based violence.

At Berberè, we believe it’s our duty to try and do our part to bring together those who need help and those who have made helping their life’s work.

In the coming weeks, at our restaurant’s checkout counter and on all our pizza boxes you’ll find a sticker with a QR code giving you easy, quick access to contacts and other helpful information on all DIRE Anti-Violence Centres in Italy.

You’ll also find a card to take with you. It will be available in all our restaurants all year round.

If you need help, or know a woman who may, on the card you’ll find the anti-violence centre closest to you.
