As our regulars know, music is definitely one of our biggest passions.
So, to celebrate the release of FOOD – the new album by multi-instrumentalists Paolo Fresu and Omar Sosa – we came up with a couple of surprises we’re sure you’ll love.
On April 30th, pop into one of our pizzerias for dinner, relax, enjoy our delicious pizza and listen to a preview of the new album.
Now that’s what we call a good time!
And if you’re in Bologna, it gets even better: starting from 7 pm, Paolo Fresu himself will be joining us at our Porta Saragozza place for a great autograph session with amazing music and food. During the event, you’ll also have the chance to buy vinyl and cd’s at a special price!
If you’re into vintage records, you can walk off with the double vinyl of FOOD for 35 Euros instead of 40, and if you’re a millennial at heart, we have a double CD for you at 15 Euros instead of 20. Not bad, right?
FOOD is a collection of original compositions by Paolo Fresu and Omar Sosa incorporating samples of voices, sounds and noises recorded in pizzerias and restaurants around the world.
The record features many collaborations with world-class artists including Cristiano De André and New York rapper Kokayi, plus contributions from Brazilian cellist Jaques Morelenbaum,
pannist Andy Narell and Latin American singer Indwe. The huge theme of food explored through the language of music.
You can also listen to FOOD on our web radio pizzaorvinyl.it until May 19th, every day at 11 am and 4 pm. The first two singles A Cimma and Greens, scheduled for release on May 5th, will also be in rotation.
